A Trailer Park Hotel in the Desert

Are you struggling to get back into work mode and would rather be anywhere but your desk? Here's something to help lighten the mood. El Cosmico is a "nomadic desert hotel"
set on 21 dusty acres in the middle of the Texan desert in a little place called Marfa.

Set up by kitsch hotelier, Liz Lambert, this is the ultimate chic camping experience in the middle of nowhere and it's making its way to the top of my 'American road trip stop-offs' list fast. You can choose between staying in one of eight refurbished vintage trailers complete with kitchens, mini bars and baths...

Or one of three teepees, each with a double bed, sofa and roaring fire...

Or how about a night in a cool safari tent?

Then there's the yurt.

Once you've settled in, crack open a cold beer at the camp kitchen or hang out with your fellow campers at the hammock grove.

I checked the rates for peak season and you can rent one of the smaller trailers for around $145 a night. Inspired to take a road trip? Find out more and book your trailer at El Cosmico, here

  1. Our trailer is exactly what I always wanted my home to be — it is cozy, comfortable, cost-efficient, two bedrooms,
two bathrooms, with a kick-ass kitchen, and our neighbors are some of the nicest people I have ever met.

  2. A trailer is basically a tiny house that is pre-constructed. there may be no want to spend months planning and designing, it is already performed.
